How To Get Lip Gloss Out of Clothes

Here's how to remove lip gloss stains from washable fabrics.

Oh no, accidentally got lip gloss on something and desperately want to clean it up? Try these steps to remove lip gloss and oil stains.

Typically, lip gloss stains happen because of oil content.
Think of the stain as an oil based stain and proceed as follows.

First, try using a little mild washing-up liquid and cold water on your stain. If that doesn't work, you can try rubbing a little white vinegar or baking soda into the stained area and leaving it for a few minutes.

Next, take a clean cloth and dip it in water mixed with laundry detergent.

Any remaining stain can be removed by dabbing it with a colorless degreaser (specially formulated to get rid of oil) or white spirit (for natural fabrics).

Here's how to remove lip gloss stains from dry-clean-only fabrics.

Blotting is key when trying to remove stains from delicate clothes. Don't rub or scrub the stain further into the fabric - use a clean, absorbent cloth or towel to blot the stain until it is gone.

Use acetone-free nail polish remover and gently dab it onto the stained area. Keep blotting until the stain disappears!

You can get lip gloss out of clothes if you simply know how and with a bit of patience and a delicate hand.

Hope this helped you on your cleaning endeavour!
